  • Create a LinkedIn profile and update accordingly
  • Join a B&E student organization
  • Participate in B&E Job Shadowing Program
  • Obtain a part-time job/volunteer experience
  • Learn about internship/job search

Sophomore Year

  • Create a cover letter
  • Create an elevator pitch
  • Update resume & MountaineerTRAK profile
  • Create a career action plan with a CCD staff member
  • Explore and obtain an internship or job
  • Decide a B&E major
  • Research graduate/professional programs
  • Participate in B&E Mock Interview Week
  • Participate in B&E Job Shadowing Program
  • Attend university sponsored events
  • Attend CCD events and Career Fair

Junior Year

  • Update resume, cover letter and MountaineerTRAK profile
  • Secure an internship or part-time job
  • Continue researching grad/professional programs (optional)
  • Participate in B&E Mock Interview Week
  • Attend networking events
  • Plan for post-graduation
  • Attend university sponsored events
  • Attend CCD events and Career Fairs

Senior Year

  • Develop a job search strategy early and execute
  • Create a thank you letter
  • Target resume and cover letter to a particular industry, employer, etc.
  • Participate in B&E Mock Interview Week
  • Attend networking events
  • Assemble a professional portfolio
  • Apply for graduate school if you have not already
  • Maintain a part-time job or internship in your major
