B&E Ambassadors

Avery Gunter

Accounting and Finance Junior from Winston-Salem, North Carolina

"The best thing that you can do for yourself at WVU is to get involved. There are so many opportunities both socially and academically for you to better yourself as a person and to create a real tie to your community. Don't coast through undergrad to end up wishing you'd done more."

Extracurriculars: Honors College, WVU Chimes Honorary, Alpha Kappa Psi, Accounting Club, Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary

Favorite Place on Campus: The Grind. It has the perfect environment for studying without making one feel rushed or cramped. I love going there early on the weekends, because not only are their coffee and breakfast delicious, but you can stay as long as you need to.

Hobbies:

  • Skateboarding
  • Hanging out with friends
Favorites:

  • Show: The Office
  • Ice cream flavor: Mint-chocolate chip
  • Band:  R.E.M.
  • Movie: The Breakfast Club

Why do you love WVU? I love the atmosphere of B&E. It seems as if there is always some kind of event going on and the underlying feeling of inclusion accompanying these activities is unrivaled. Just walking into the College of B&E gives you a sense that you are a part of something more. Not to mention, the faculty and staff at B&E are some of the most helpful and passionate people you'll meet.
