WVU Career Fair
February 15-16, 2017

10:00 am - 3:00pm | Mountainlair Ballrooms

The WVU Career Fair presents employers from diverse industries, non-profits, government, and military branches. Students will have the opportunity meet with potential employers, seek on-site interviews and network with professionals.

GEIC Interviews
February 28 - March 1, 2017

5:00 pm - 9:00pm | Mountainlair Ballrooms 

The General Electric Interview Competition is a mock interview simulation that all BCOR 299 students are required to complete in order to fulfill their undergraduate course requirements. Additionally, graduate students in the MSIR program act as the recruiters to fulfill requirement of the Talent Acquisition course. GE has historically sponsored the event, which allows participants to gain valuable professional interview experience. The top 10% of participants are recognized and invited to a networking event with industry professionals from General Electric.

Professional Development Conference

Join us for our inaugural University-wide Professional Development Conference to gain insight from industry experts on how to differentiate yourself in the job search process! This event will feature a variety of breakout sessions with topics aimed at undergraduate and graduate students of all majors. Each breakout session offers three distinguished presentations that are designed to focus on the required skills and competencies for every stage of your career preparation efforts.

Professional Etiquette Dinner
March 22, 2017

5:30 - 8:00pm | Waterfront Place Hotel

Network and dine with employer partners while learning helpful tips and proper etiquette for professional events! The Etiquette Dinner will include a mocktail reception, professional attire fashion show, suggested etiquette for business dinners and interview scenarios, and a variety of prize drawings to finish off the evening. Prizes will include gift certificates to local restaurants and retailers as well as other items to prepare you for your job search and future career. Students from all majors are encouraged to attend.

Student Appreciation Day

We want to celebrate all the hard work our B&E students have accomplished. We will be providing last minute resume, cover letter and elevator pitch reviews as well as answering any interviewing or job search questions. Additionally, there will be refreshments, career games, and prize drawings.
