Robert L. “Bob” Reynolds is currently President and CEO of Great-West Lifeco U.S., Inc., Great-West-Financial and Putnam Investments. He is a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia and a 1974 graduate of the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics earning his degree in business administration and majoring in finance. In 2007, Reynolds was the recipient of an honorary doctorate degree in business administration from WVU.
Bob has more than 30 years of investment and financial services experience. Prior to joining Putnam in 2008, he was vice chairman and CEO of Fidelity Investments and the former chairman of the board of the WVU Foundation. He currently is a board member of the WVU Foundation, co-chair of the State of Minds Campaign and a member of the WVU Academy of Distinguished Alumni.
He was inducted into the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame in 2010. Also, in 2016, Reynolds was inducted into the WVU College of Business and Economics Roll of Distinguished Alumni and acted as the WVU Homecoming Parade Grand Marshal.
He and his wife Laura Reynolds were honored for their charitable work in 2013
by the WVU Foundation and given the Outstanding Philanthropists
Award. They are both members of WVU Foundation Woodburn Circle Society and active
donors to Massachusetts General Hospital.
In February of 2017, WVU announced that Bob and his wife Laura made a transformational gift of $10 million to name the main building at the new WVU business school complex. The gift will provide initial funding for a building in their names at a new business school complex on Morgantown’s waterfront, as well as propel other academic components of business education at B&E.
