Brian Lego serves as the Bureau of Business and Economic Research’s Economic Forecaster. He plays a major role in producing the Bureau’s West Virginia Economic Outlook and regional outlook publications and also delivers presentations around the state addressing industrial, demographic and regional economic trends. Prior to joining the Bureau, Brian worked for more than 10 years as a private sector economist for trade associations in the Washington, D.C. area and Economy.com (now known as Moody’s Analytics). In these various positions, he developed and/or managed industry and regional economic forecasting and analysis projects for a wide range of private and public sector clients. Brian’s research interests include analyzing housing policy, studying the interaction of housing and local economic growth and developing regional economic indicators.
