The College of Business and Economics welcomed 400 first-time freshmen and 75 first-time transfers to First Year Academy (FYA) on August 15 to kick off the fall semester.
First Year Academy, a subset of Welcome Week at West Virginia University, is a mandatory program held prior to the start of classes in which students are introduced to campus, their academic departments and their fellow classmates, and is designed to assist them in learning the culture and values of the University.
