Brian Douglas Brick Memorial Scholarship
Two to three scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $2,500 are awarded annually.
Brian Douglas Brick was raised in Romney, WV, and graduated from Hampshire High School in 2008. In 2012 Brian graduated Cum Laude from WVU with a degree of BSBA in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Brian loved WVU and entered their MBA program shortly before his tragic death while swimming with friends in the Tygart Valley River.
Brian was a brilliant, hardworking young man, and an accomplished soccer player, whose friendship and smiling face brought joy to so many. Brian spent his summers and holiday breaks working at a residential facility for developmentally disabled adults and children. His compassion and ability to make everyone feel special and accepted, speaks volumes of his character. Brian's untimely death will ultimately shape the rest of our lives as we continue to honor him by striving to be as kind, accepting and considerate of our fellow man as he always was.
These scholarships are Brian's gifts to future MBA scholars who, like Brian, approach both education and life with integrity, hard work, and a sincere friendship for the people they meet.
