      President: Emily Kurzinski

I am the AMA President and a current Business Analyst for Mylan Pharmaceuticals. I am pursuing both Management Information Systems and Marketing degrees. I would like to end up in an IT consulting career. When I do get that slight glimpse of free time, I like to spend it rock climbing. I also really love public speaking.

      President-Elect: Marissa DiLoreto

I am a Temporary Professional Administration intern at UPMC and I am a Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority Member.

Vice President of Communications: Morgan Wolf

I am a senior marketing major with minors in communication studies and advertising. I work as an intern for the WVU Athletics Marketing department and part-time at the Holiday Inn University Area. As the VP of Communications, I handle all communication with club members and make sure all active members are attending meetings. I love being a student at WVU but I am looking forward to graduating in May of 2017. Let's go Mountaineers!

Vice President of Finance: Mackenzie Covelli

I am a senior marketing major, minoring in fashion merchandising. I currently hold the position as a brand ambassador at Lotsa Motsa and previously interned at ADP in inside sales. I am also involved in Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Fun fact: Broadway show tunes are my life

Vice President of Programming: Samantha Wood

In the summer of 2016, I interned at the West Virginia Governor's School for Math and Science and assisted in running their summer camp for 12 to 13-year-olds. I am also involved in several other student organizations including PRSSA, CRC Campus & CHAARG. In my free time, I enjoys walking her dog, back-country hiking, and yoga.

Vice President of Advertising and Promotions: Fallon Morella

I am a junior marketing major and minor in Statistics and Advertising.

Vice President of Website: Natalie Marquart

My past summer internship experiences include working at the Wheeling Convention and Visitors Bureau and at Beyond Marketing. I am pursuing a career in marketing research in hopes of being a professor one day. In my free time, I like to be outdoors and try new crafty things like making stained glass!

AMA Marketing Case Competition Leader: Jesse Thomas

I have internship experience with Summit Community Bank and Last Frontier Farm. My interests include the following: accounting, horses, and floating on the river. Some interesting facts about myself are that I am a Sarterelli scholarship recipient and that I am the PR-VP of the accounting club.

Vice President of Social Media: Victoria Marinucci

I am the VP of social media. This summer, I had an internship in Barcelona, Spain where I worked as a marketing intern for a company called HS3, which is a project management company. I dealt with the website for a medical cannabis company and got to travel all around Europe while I was there! I am Hungarian and Italian with family still in Europe and I love to travel, take pictures, and experience new things -- especially new food!

      Faculty Advisor: Dr. Paula Fitzgerald

      Dues:

Annual American Marketing Association Fee: $47
If you have paid your dues for AMA then Marketing Club dues are $10 for the semester. If you are not an AMA member, Marketing Club dues are $20 for the semester.

      Scheduled Meeting Dates:

Meeting dates vary, but are typically held every other Wednesday from 5 – 6 PM in B&E room 458.

      Marketing Case Competition

A local firm partners with the WVU Marketing Club for this event and that local firm is the subject of the event. Students break open a “secret case” in the morning and, by late afternoon, are presenting their own ideas to the owners/managers of the local firm. Students spend the day developing a marketing plan for the company. Presentations are given at the end of the day and the client chooses the winning presentation.

Previous Clients Include: Vance's Blues, Metropolitan Theatre and Tutto Gelato, WVU Radio Station, Appalachian Art Gallery

      Spring Trip Site Visit

Each year, we also try to take an educational trip to visit one or two significant firms. This provides students with the chance to see how the things they learn in class are applied in practice and to give students an idea about corporate life. Students are able to tour the buildings and participate in round table discussions with employees in order to help develop their career paths.

Previous Visits Include: Brunner Advertising, American Eagle, Bayer, Under Armour, Comcast Spotlight, PPG and DHL

      Photoshop Training Sessions

This semester, we will begin a series of FREE training sessions regarding Adobe Photoshop. The training sessions are taught by our very own Lindsey Folco (a B&E marketing major).

      What to Bring:

      • A photo to play with—if you have one you want to use for class even better. It needs to be a JPG or PNG and should be a medium-large picture (i.e., not a small picture you take off the Internet)
      • A positive, can-do attitude

Open to all Marketing Majors, Marketing Club (AMA) members and B&E students taking one of the designated Photoshop Courses.

NOTE: We will continue to plan courses and trainings over the semester. This is designed for a very introductory level.  All are welcome as a refresher. But if you have never used Photoshop—this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
