Art & Virginia King are the first-generation owners of Kanawha Stone Company, Inc., a heavy-highway construction company performing a variety of civil projects. The company’s clients include state and federal agencies as well as private and public corporations. The company performs work in multiple states and has been in business for over 52 years. Terradon Corporation, a multi-disciplined engineering and consulting firm that does work in the same geographic area as Kanawha Stone but also does work throughout the United States on Federal Government contracts. Terradon is the largest woman-owned firm of its type in West Virginia. It has been in business for over 36 years. The couple’s children, Tom Kittredge, Ashley Lioi and Amelia Randoph actively work in the business as 2nd generation owners and officers. Both Art & Virginia have been active in industry, public and community organizations.
