I. L. “Ike” Morris, a resident of Glenville, WV is married to Sue Morris. They are the proud parents of two children: Doug and Shelly and have three grandchildren: Ian Morris, Jordan Morris and Hannah DeMarino. They have four great-grandchildren: Arianna, Mia, Maggie and Marlee.

He is the owner of Waco Oil & Gas Co., Inc. While Morris arrived in Glenville in the early 1960’s, he incorporated Waco in 1975. Waco continues to be a successful oil and gas operation in West Virginia, employing approximately 70 area residents and currently operates Waco Foods LLC which owns the Glenville, Grantsville and Craigsville Foodland stores. Morris has also ventured into coal mining, stone quarries, fitness center, restaurant, lounge, automatic car wash and commercial and residential real estate through the years. He is very active in land, minerals and timber throughout the state of West Virginia. He has partnered with Mike Ross on many ventures and companies including We-R-Farmers, Landaplenty and Rossco LLC.

In addition to overseeing his own businesses, Mr. Morris is a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenville. He is a former Board member of United Bank, Alliance Petroleum Corp. in Canton, Ohio , the West Virginia Oil and Gas Commission, and was past president of the Glenville Golf Club. He was honored as the 1994 West Virginia Oil & Gas Man of the Year, the 25th Annual Honorary Italian Man of the Year at the WV Italian Heritage Festival and was also named Gilmer Countian of the Year, as well as numerous other awards throughout the state.

As a local businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Morris and his family serves both Glenville State University and Gilmer County communities through their active support and generous financial gifts.

Mr. Morris serves as a Partner in Education with Gilmer County High School, contributes to various other education and philanthropic endeavors and provided the funds for the installation of artificial turf and other improvements at the Glenville State College football stadium, now named Morris Stadium. In 2025, he spearheaded a large capital campaign for the Morris Family Health and Fitness Center at Glenville State which focuses on health science degrees and community physical fitness. His generosity extends to academics as well. He assisted with the establishment of the Accounting Textbook Scholarship, and has contributed to numerous projects throughout the campus, including the Waco Center. In recent years, the Morris family has annually provided a $500,000 matching grant to the Glenville State University Foundation for their annual Day of Giving for academic merit scholarships.
