Daniel J. D’Arrigo earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University College of Business and Economics in 1991. Since graduating from WVU, Dan has amassed over 25 years of experience in the gaming, leisure and hospitality industries, both in the U.S. and internationally.

He began his accounting and finance career at such legendary landmarks such as the Dunes Hotel and Casino and the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. With each step of the way Dan increased his corporate roles and responsibilities ultimately leading to over a 20 year career at MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM).

Dan held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MGM Resorts from 2007 until 2019. He was an instrumental member of the senior executive team which orchestrated the transformation of MGM Resorts from a one resort company with under $1 billion in revenues to one of the world’s largest gaming, hospitality and entertainment companies with roughly $12 billion in revenues. MGM Resorts is an S&P 500 global hospitality and entertainment company with over 80,000 employees operating a portfolio of over 30 unique hotel and destination resort brands, including Bellagio, Aria, MGM Grand, The Mirage, Mandalay Bay, over 250 food and beverage outlets, 350 retail outlets and is host to incredible live and renowned theatrical entertainment experiences and sporting events.

During his time as Executive Vice President and CFO, Dan was responsible for the company’s domestic and international financial functions, including the direct oversight of corporate finance, treasury, investor relations, internal audit, global shared services, purchasing and other related functions.

He oversaw and led all aspects of the company’s capital structure and capital allocation framework, including the successful refinancing of the company’s balance sheet via the public equity, bond and commercial bank markets, raising well in excess of $25B in capital.

Playing a key role in leading the company’s growth and development initiatives, Dan was at the forefront of some of the largest acquisitions in the gaming and hospitality industry including MGM Resorts’ $6.4 billion acquisition of Mirage Resorts in 2001, the $7.3 billion acquisition of Mandalay Resort Group by MGM Resorts in 2005, as well as several other high profile transactions.

He led the creation and subsequent initial public offering (IPO) of MGM China Holdings, LLC (HKSE:2282), a publicly listed Hong Kong company, and MGM Growth Properties, LLC (NYSE: MGP), two multi-billion valued companies. The IPO of MGM China allowed MGM Resorts to gain a majority control of its investment in MGM China Holdings, LLC and expand its presence in the dynamic Macau, SAR marketplace. The creation and IPO of MGM Growth Properties created a world-class real estate investment trust which provided significant value to MGM Resorts’ shareholders through the re-valuation of MGM Resort’s underlying real estate.

Dan previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of MGM China Holdings LLC, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Las Vegas Arena Company, LLC a privately held joint venture responsible for the development and operations of T-Mobile Arena located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He has been recognized for his accomplishments having been named to Institutional Investors CFO ranking in 2017 and 2018. Dan was also named to Treasury & Risk Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Corporate Leaders in 2006.

Mr. D’Arrigo resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his wife Lori. They have three children – Kristi, Danielle and Matthew.
