During this workshop, you will learn how to navigate Handshake's new virtual career fair platform, register for one-on-one meetings or group info. sessions, and gain tips on networking and personal branding through the eyes of an employer.

WVU Career & Internship Fair, In Partnership with the Chambers College

September 30 | 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. | Handshake's Virtual Career Fair Platform

Audience:   All Majors; Freshmen-Graduate Students

Handshake has taken virtual career fairs to the next level! They’ve designed their new platform with the student experience in mind: interactive videos, detailed search capabilities, and easy follow up with employers of interest. You will get one-on-one face time with recruiters hiring your major—from wherever you are. And the best part? No lines!

Why Should You Attend? Attending virtual career fairs on Handshake will give you an edge in landing that next job or internship. This isn’t just an information-gathering exercise—this is your chance to meet employers, secure interviews, and build your professional network.

During this event, you will have two different ways to connect directly with employers:

  • 10-minute 1:1 meetings with employers. You will be able to search and sign up for sessions with employers targeting your major.
  • 30-minute mini info sessions. Organizations will take a deep dive in career paths, organizational culture, and other important topics to help you determine if their company is a fit for you.
To streamline the virtual career fair experience for our students this fall, we have paired the WVU Career & Internship Fair with the Chambers College of Business and Economics Career Fair.
