A new partnership for the College brings new opportunities for our Economics Department and students. Now, Roanoke College students who graduate with a B.A. in Economics with at least a 3.25 GPA (overall) are guaranteed admission to our M.S. Economics program. Additionally, West Virginia University will waive the application fee and GRE/GMAT requirement.

Fred T. Tattersall Research Chair and Professor of Finance, Alex Kurov, had his research paper, "The Information Content of the VIX Options Trading Volume" accepted for publication in the Journal of Futures Markets. The paper is co-authored with Chen Gu, Xu Guo, and Raluca Stan. However, Chen and Raluca are both 2018 graduates of our Finance Ph.D. program. 

Marketing students participated in the national sales competition, RNMKRs, and placed 10th among the universities (122 schools). Our student Jamison Nuijens was one of the Eastern Regional Champions (he placed 80th out of 1,837 students).
