Sales competition season produces fruitful results for Chambers College marketing students

West Virginia University’s Professional Sales program within the John Chambers College of Business and Economics is developing the next generation of sales leaders, thanks to a collaboration of exceptional education, training and faculty.

Students in the program recently finished a busy season of sales competitions, most recently sweeping the competition held at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Another group of students was to compete in the National Shore Sales Challenge at Salisbury University the weekend prior to spring break; however, that was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

WVU Launch Lab competitions produce ideas to benefit local communities, state

A new and innovative energy bar for endurance athletes is the newest idea to come from West Virginia University’s LaunchLab Network.

Julian Figaretti, owner of the Little Hemp Seeds LLC, won first place at the first-annual Adventure Recreation Pitch Competition, an event co-hosted by the WVU Launch Lab Network and Adventure WV. Figaretti’s idea of “Beet Bites” won him a grand prize of $1,500.

Nominations open for WVU Chambers College’s Roll of Distinguished Alumni

Nominations are now open for the 2020 class of the John Chambers College of Business and Economics Roll of Distinguished Alumni at West Virginia University. Individuals interested in submitting a nomination may do so through May 29.

To date, 42 Chambers College graduates have been inducted into the Roll of Distinguished Alumni. The College initiated this award in 2011 to coincide with its 60th Anniversary Collection. New members are added each year to recognize the success of outstanding Chambers College graduates.
