I chuckle when I hear from others that they could never ask someone for money, or that my job is difficult.
Whether I am at the college or out with a donor, I spend my days with people who want to make our world, our state, and individual lives better. I operate in a sacred space that brings together the people who want to use their resources to positively impact others and the boots on the ground doing that good work.
When our donors give, they are investing in you and your work. They believe in the impact of what you do on a daily basis. Of all the opportunities to donate, they chose you. Consider that March 9 as hundreds of gifts are made to the Chambers College for West Virginia University's Fifth Annual Day of Giving.
As faculty and staff, you share your time and talent for our common mission each and every day. You know the opportunities we work to embrace and the struggles we face. It is that combination of expertise in the work and the organization that makes your insider gift incredibly powerful to those who consider where and when to give. Your gifts are demonstrations of support and commitment for our collective goals – instilling even greater confidence and inspiring our donors.
Understanding the power of your gifts, I personally am inviting each of you to join us in Day of Giving to help us inspire our donors, support our goals, and crush the competition for the Faculty and Staff Challenge.
