Do you need guidance for your professional or personal goals? Looking to build your resume? Alpha Kappa Psi might be the organization for you!
Alpha Kappa Psi is the only professional business fraternity that is recognized by WVU. Even though we are a business fraternity, we're co-ed, and we accept all majors at the university. Alpha Kappa Psi focuses on guiding all brothers with personal and professional growth opportunities in and outside our chapter.
As a first-generation student, I came into college with little knowledge of how to even start to prepare for the after-college journey and had no friends who went to WVU. I felt a little lost and alone, but Alpha Kappa Psi has helped me overcome these hardships.
Joining Alpha Kappa Psi has allowed me to make friends and see familiar faces in my classes. It has also exposed me to opportunities to expand my knowledge of careers and how to land jobs and internships. In the past year, we have had resume review sessions with the Center for Career Development, interview preps, salary negotiation workshops, and presentations from employers like Aldi, ALKU, and KMPG.
We also often have brotherhood events that allow us to connect and learn more about one another in the chapter. One of my favorite brotherhood events is the alumni tailgate we have in the fall, where past and present members can come together and reconnect. I look forward to the tailgate the most every year.
In addition to professional development brotherhood events, we have community service events that can help you get service hours every semester too.
Many others in the chapter could say that they have had similar experiences with how Alpha Kappa Psi has helped them grow into young adults who are ready to have successful careers. If you are looking for guidance in aspects of your undergrad college career, then Alpha Kappa Psi may be the organization for you!
