WVU’s fully online Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Marketing is designed for forward-thinking professionals eager to lead at the intersection of marketing and AI. A survey from the World Economic Forum found that over 60% of companies are struggling to find employees with necessary AI skills, indicating a substantial need for training and development in this area. The marketing technology sector is projected to grow significantly in coming years, with estimates suggesting it could reach over $400 billion. This growth will drive the need for skilled professionals who can leverage AI tools effectively.  Additionally, roles related to AI in marketing could see annual growth rates of 10-20% in job openings over the next few years, with annual salary expectations above $80K.

Will I be a good fit for this program even if I don't have experience in AI or marketing?

We don’t require prior marketing or AI experience – our courses are designed to provide a strong foundation in core marketing concepts and skills, making the program accessible to students from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, including:

  • Early-career marketers looking to move into strategic, AI-focused roles

  • Marketing managers hoping to integrate AI into their current strategies

  • Recent college graduates with degrees in marketing, business, communications, or related fields

  • Professionals from adjacent fields (e.g., psychology, data science, or tech) looking to break into marketing

  • Current WVU undergraduate marketing students who want to take advantage of the accelerated Bachelor's to Master’s opportunity, as three core undergraduate marketing courses will count toward this degree

A bachelor’s degree is required, but prior experience in AI or marketing is not necessary.

 

How long will it take me to complete this degree? What if I have a full-time job?

The program requires 30 credit hours to complete. Full-time students will be able to complete this degree within 13 months. Part-time students can expect to finish in 2 years at most, depending on their course load and scheduling preferences.

These courses are designed to be fully online and flexible, with an asynchronous format, meaning you won't have to log in at specific times.  This allows for maximum flexibility, making it ideal for working professionals or students balancing other commitments.
