Larry F. Mazza is an established banking and financial executive, entrepreneur and co-owner of a nationally-recognized sports media business.  He is a proven effective leader and civic-minded volunteer who serves on boards of both public companies and non-profit organizations. 

Mr. Mazza is Chief Executive Officer of  MVB Financial Corp., the parent of West Virginia-based MVB Bank, Inc.  Mr. Mazza also serves on the MVB Financial Corp. Board of Directors.  He is a recognized name in West Virginia banking with over 25 years of experience in both large banks and community banks. Mr. Mazza is a member of the West Virginia Board of Banking and Financial Institutions, part of the State's banking regulatory and oversight agency.  This seven member Board oversees the operation of financial institutions throughout the State and advises the West Virginia Commissioner of Banking on matters put forth by financial institutions. 

Prior to joining MVB in 2005 to lead its geographic expansion and growth, Mr. Mazza was Senior Vice President & Retail Banking Manager for BB&T Bank's #1 ranked retail region, West Virginia North, consisting of 33 financial centers with $2 billion in assets and more than 300 employees. Mr. Mazza was employed by BB&T and its predecessors from 1986 to 2005. 

Previously, Mr. Mazza was President of Empire National Bank at the age of 29. He later served as Regional President of One Valley Bank, a state-wide financial institution.  As a veteran banker, Mr. Mazza has been credited with significantly growing assets, profits, and return on assets in each banking position he has held. 

Also, a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Mazza graduated from West Virginia University in Business Administration, after which he joined KPMG, a Big Four accounting firm.

Since 2007, Mr. Mazza has served as a Board member for PDC Energy, a NASDAQ-listed company which is an independent E&P company headquartered in Denver, CO.  Presently, he serves as Chair of PDC's Nominating & Governance Committee. As committee chair, he has enhanced overall Board governance and guided CEO succession and Board Chair transitions.  Mazza also serves on the Board's Compensation Committee.

A West Virginia native, Larry Mazza approaches his daily work in an entrepreneurial manner.  He is especially known for helping developing businesses to grow. Mr. Mazza is a partner, along with Mike Florio, in a global business venture called Football Talk, LLC, known as 'the place' for the latest NFL information.  Profootballtalk.com has a well-established and growing website and mobile presence with millions of users on a monthly basis.  The primary websites include  profootballtalk.com and  collegefootballtalk.com.  The company is also a key content provider for NBC SportsTalk. To this, Mr. Mazza helped to create an innovative revenue model for the site which enabled PFT to maintain 100% ownership of the venture in its partnership with NBC Sports.  Mr. Mazza resides in Clarksburg, WV.
