Whether you’re applying for part-time campus jobs, internships, or full-time opportunities, a great resume is how you get your foot in the door of any organization. Mock Interviews: September 22-23
Mock Interview Days will enable you to practice your virtual interviewing skills, which are more important than ever. These 30-minute behavioral-based interviews will be conducted by HR and industry professionals who will provide you with coaching and feedback throughout the session. Schedule a session on Handshake!
How to Work a Virtual Career Fair Workshop: September 24 & 28
During this workshop, you will learn how to navigate Handshake's new virtual career fair platform, register for one-on-one meetings or group info. sessions, and gain tips on networking and personal branding through theeyes of an employer.
Career and Internship Fair: September 30
The Career and Internship Fair has always been an important event to attend in order to meet employers, build your professional network and discuss potential job opportunities. With this year’s virtual format, you can skip the lines and have one-on-one time with employers of your choice!
During this event, you will have two different ways to connect directly with employers:
- 10-minute 1:1 meetings with employers. You will be able to search and sign up for sessions with employers targeting your major.
- 30-minute mini info sessions. Organizations will take a deep dive in career paths, organizational culture, and other important topics to help you determine if their company is a fit for you.

Adventure WV First-Year Trips
Did you participate in WVU’s Adventure WV as an incoming freshman? Would you like to work with the new class of Mountaineers for theSummer 2021 trips?
Adventure WV is looking for exceptional students who go above and beyond, possess the qualities of respectful Mountaineers and could have a positive influence on the next WVU incoming class.

Perfect Your Pitch
Are you entering ALKU’s virtual Sales Competition for a chance to win up to $7,000?
In order to do so, an elevator pitch is due by Friday, September, 18. From there, 20 students will be chosen to move forward and, after several rounds, the final winners will be announced in November. There will be three winners: first place prize of $7,000, second place prize of $2,000 and third place prize of $1,000.

The Future of AI Starts With You
Our College is excited to announce its first Ethics in AI (artificial intelligence) competition, in coordination with Vantage Ventures, sponsored by the Maier Foundation.
The purpose of the competition is to create thoughtful discussions around AI and its implications for society. You can enter alone, or with a team, for a chance to win $3,000.
The competition will require an application with a one-page submission of the team’s position on the problem statement by Thursday, October 8 at 11:59 p.m.
For those teams that advance to the finals, you will be asked to prepare a slide deck and a 5-minute presentation. The finals will be held on October 22nd in conjunction with the Distinguished Speaker Series featuring a panel of AI experts.
This competition is open:
- All students, not just for students in technical fields, as AI cuts across all disciplines and industries
- All full-time, undergraduate students in two-or four-year colleges and universities across West Virginia, regardless of major
