The Brief: Here We Go Again!

Fall Back Into Action

Welcome back to campus!

The only thing better than the fall in West Virginia, is fall on West Virginia University’s campus. We’re excited to have you back in the classroom this semester and we are doing everything we can to ensure a safe and smooth return.

Please remember to wear your mask, use hand sanitizer and practice social distancing while on campus grounds.

Our Chambers College IT (Information Technology) department has worked hard to provide a safe environment for you, your professors and all other College staff.

Our business building guidelines include:

  • Entering and Exiting: please review the floor plan below for our entry and exit strategy.
  • Plexiglass shield guards have been added to lecture halls throughout the building, as well as in the 4th Floor Dean's Suite
  • Computers located on our 2nd-floor atrium are unavailable.
  • Tables: if there are tables that could seat 4, there are signs that show two (2) seats are unavailable. To practice safe social distancing guidelines, we can only sit two people diagonally across from each other.
  • Individual chairs: you will notice there are individual chairs in our building (especially around our atrium on the 3rd and 4th floors). There must be 6 ft between chairs at all times. Chairs cannot and should not be moved together.

Please note:

  • Application period for current/ returning students for academic year 2021-22 starts Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 and ends Friday, November 20, 2020
  • These scholarship awards would be in addition to any other scholarship you may be awarded through WVU.
  • Information on your application will be verified by the Office of Undergraduate Programs for accuracy.
  • Scholarship award amounts vary from $500 - $2,000

Virtual Career & Internship Fair

The Career and Internship Fair has always been an important event to attend in order to meet employers, build your professional network and discuss potential job opportunities. With this year’s virtual format, you can skip the lines and have one-on-one time with employers of your choice!

During this event, you will have two different ways to connect directly with employers:

  • 10-minute 1:1 meetings with employers. You will be able to search and sign up for sessions with employers targeting your major.
  • 30-minute mini info sessions. Organizations will take a deep dive in career paths, organizational culture, and other important topics to help you determine if their company is a fit for you.
