This week marked the third week of online learning and, before we know it, we will be into week four. 

West Virginia is the latest state in the U.S. to adopt a regulatory sandbox to encourage the development of new rising industries within its borders.

Whether it’s fun pens, several notebooks, coffee or tea, sweet or salty snacks, and of course, Country Roads on repeat, we want to make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed while learning online.

The Encova Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, housed in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, will host three upcoming digital workshops in partnership with Google and the Small Business Administration.

Students of the College’s West Virginia University’s Master of Science in Industrial Relations (MSIR) program are looking at issues with vendor management, human resources and diversity and inclusion as part of their Strategic Management in Human Resources course.

West Virginia University’s John Chambers College of Business and Economics is offering services to small businesses feeling the strain of prolonged closures or limited offerings stemming from the COVID-19 global pandemic.

While events around the globe are cancelled amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, West Virginia University’s John Chambers College of Business and Economics found a way to continue forward with its annual West Virginia Business Plan Competitions by taking it virtual. 

Each finalist in both the high school and collegiate-level competitions virtually met with a panel of judges Thursday to pitch their business plans and answer questions.

West Virginia University’s Professional Sales program within the John Chambers College of Business and Economics is developing the next generation of sales leaders, thanks to a collaboration of exceptional education, training and faculty.

Students in the program recently finished a busy season of sales competitions, most recently sweeping the competition held at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Another group of students was to compete in the National Shore Sales Challenge at Salisbury University the weekend prior to spring break; however, that was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
