Here at the Chambers College, there are three opportunities that give students these useful experiences – Neidermeyer Scholar Program, Chambers Ambassadors and Peer Mentors. Each of these different opportunities offers a unique experience that can develop a student's professional and personal skills while helping others in the Chambers College.

Neidermeyer Scholars

The Neidermeyer Scholar Program is a peer-to-peer tutoring program that is designed to help students succeed academically. Neidermeyer Scholars have a time commitment of 15 hours per semester, meeting 1-2 times a month for training and professional development activities. Being a Neidermeyer Scholar can grant students with valuable leadership skills, a deeper understanding of course material and networking opportunities both professional and social.

Chambers Ambassadors

Chambers Ambassadors assist with the recruitment and retention of students in the Chambers College. As a Chambers Ambassador, students will have the opportunity to work with various organizations like Decide and Discover WVU by providing tours of the new Reynolds Hall building and participating in info sessions to inform prospective students. Among the impact on future and current students, Chambers Ambassadors also have various special opportunities like attending dinner with the Dean. This helps students sharpen their communication and networking skills while representing their college and having fun in the process.

Peer Mentors

The Peer Mentor Program is a one-credit course that gives students the opportunity to help first year students adjust to their college life. Peer Mentos lead students throughout the semester while also providing personal support by meeting with their assigned students one-on-one throughout the semester. This program allows students to develop strong interpersonal skills and build meaningful relationships with their mentees.
