I’m Pareera Uqaily, a senior double majoring in accounting and management information systems (MIS) with a minor in business data analytics. Throughout my time at West Virginia University, I have interacted with my peers in various different roles and settings.

Currently serving as the Student Body Vice President, I have the pleasure of leading a group of heavily involved individuals on campus within the student government association along with representing the needs and voices of our student body to university officials. Some of the major things this administration hopes to advocate for are mental health resources, sexual assault prevention, and college affordability.
Within the Chambers College, I’m also currently serving as a lead Neidermeyer Scholar for accounting 202. In this capacity, I address questions and concerns students have about the course content while also teaching them effective learning and study skills that set them up for academic success.
I have also served as a peer mentor for freshman within the WVU Honors College and the Chambers College. In both capacities, I assisted freshman transition to college and explore their passions by encouraging them to get involved on campus.
All the interactions I have had with my peers have played a vital role in shaping my time at WVU, helping me explore my purpose as I hope to do the same for all those around me!
