In West Virginia, one in nine adults face hunger, while the same statistic for children is even higher at one in seven.
Considering this information, the Chambers College’s MBA program service group felt that we would have the greatest impact on our community by assisting Pantry Plus More in their mission to supply families in need with basic daily necessities and school supplies.

New paths are always emerging in business – and in business education, embracing them gives us an edge. John Saldanha, Sears Chair in Global Supply Chain Management and director of the Wehrle Global Supply Chain Lab, wrote for AACSB, the Chambers College’s accrediting body, about the pros and cons of incorporating VR technology into the classroom.
Another December has come, and another class of business students is going forth
to change the world.
On Saturday, December 16, 272 students graduated from the Chambers College, 164 of them undergraduates and 108 of them graduate students. They will go on to work at Big Four accounting firms, nonprofits, government agencies. Some will continue their educations; others will focus on building careers.
This Thanksgiving, the Chambers College Hospitality and Tourism Management program was gifted a generous donation from Nemacolin resort and the Hardy family.
This gift is going to change the student experience immensely. The funding that we receive goes towards helping us, the students, get to the places we want to go.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University is on the front lines of building leaders in the hospitality industry, thanks to a student-focused gift from a neighboring luxury resort and the family who has shepherded it to success.
The generative $7 million investment from the Hardy family and Nemacolin resort – announced Friday (Nov. 24) as part of Light Up Nemacolin – will open doors for future generations of Mountaineers majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics.

Talk to Naimat Khani for an hour or two and you’ll quickly learn how true that is. A sophomore at the Chambers College, Khani is majoring in management with an emphasis in human resources.

Every WVU student is different, and between their first class and their graduation, they all walk a different path. A new week can present a new assignment, an unforeseen complication, an unexpected challenge – and not all of them are easily surmountable.
The Chambers College has many resources to help students through those trying times, such as the Becker AeSC and a fully-staffed Advising office. It also has a graduate assistant with a background in psychology who focuses exclusively on helping students overcome those obstacles. His name is Ryan Slaughter.
