As the year comes to a close, it's time to step back and look at the big picture. 2024 has been filled with milestones for the Chambers College community – accomplishments and innovations, successes earned and lessons learned. All those milestones are like the pieces of a puzzle, interconnected, coming together to support a singular vision. 

That vision is our commitment to educating and transforming our students in ways that support the prosperity of West Virginia and the world.

🏨 Hospitality Transformed 

🏨 Vantage Ventures Celebrates Entrepreneur Outcomes 

  • Six student-led businesses in Vantage’s Fall 2024 cohort
  • $10,000 in technical assistance funding for all startup accelerator clients 
  • $100,000 in additional seed funding opportunities for startup accelerator clients 
  • “A fantastic resource” - Lukas Thackery, Brite co-founder and Vantage Ventures client 

💻 Cyber Successes

  • Dr. Randy and Karen S. Evans Cybersecurity Lab officially dedicated in 2024 
  • Cutting-edge research on integrating AI into cybersecurity 
  • Cybersecurity students participated in NATO-sponsored Operation Locked Shields this April 
  • Training students for certification exams: CISSP, CISM, Security+, Network+, AWS, Azure and Cisco 
  • Experiential learning projects with corporate partners including WesBanco, Trilogy Innovations and Nest Health 

📈 Student Outcomes

  • 705 May 2024 graduates 
    • 551 undergraduate students 
    • 154 graduate students 
  • 75.9% of May 2024's graduates employed by commencement
    • Up 1.7% from 2023! 
  • $122,000 - Highest starting salary for a Chambers College graduate

  • 537 different student clients tutored in the Becker Center during AY 23-24 
  • 1,136 different students logged 9,733 hours in over 10,000 visits to the study lab

🤝 Career Development

  • 89.9% - Placement rate within six months of graduation 
  • 2500+ one-on-one student career coaching appointments 
  • 68 students who benefited from over $120,000 in internship access funding 
  • 1,298 students who attended the fall Business Career and Internship Fair – another record!
