Meet Thomas Green

Meet Thomas Green, a proud native of Morgantown and a sports management alumnus of West Virginia University (WVU). Green's deep-rooted connection to WVU, combined with his undergraduate business education, ignited his curiosity to further study business. After successfully completing his MBA at WVU, Green is set to embark on an exciting journey with Republic Services in Tampa, Florida. His journey is driven by a passion for business and a commitment to making a positive impact.

For Green, attending WVU was a natural choice as it has been a part of his family's tradition. Moreover, he resonates with the university's land-grant mission, which emphasizes accessibility, community engagement, and knowledge dissemination. The business acumen Green gained during his undergraduate studies fueled his desire to delve deeper into the world of business. Fortunate to receive a graduate assistantship within the Chambers College, Green found himself surrounded by opportunities to enhance his skills and connect with industry professionals.

Deanna Crumm, founding officer for WVU's first-ever Women in Business (WiB) student organization, embodies the spirit of adventure and excellence that defines the Mountaineer community. WiB received the Outstanding Online Presence Award for two consecutive years, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, a testament to Crumm's leadership and the organization's success.

Meet Nathan Baker

Figuring out what you want to do in life and then actually going for it takes courage. It requires stepping out of your comfort zone, taking risks, and believing in yourself. Nathan Baker, a graduate from Fairmont, West Virginia, embodies this spirit of determination and fearlessness as he graduated with a dual-degree in accounting and finance.

From an early age, Baker knew he wanted to work in the business field. He felt a strong connection to West Virginia, his home, but also had a desire to explore the world around him. Through his travels, he realized the impact of being a WVU alumnus and the opportunities it could bring. This realization sparked his ambition to re-enroll at West Virginia University and pursue his dream.

Meet Lillian Bischof

Lillian Bischof, a remarkable student from West Virginia University, recently received the prestigious Order of Augusta, recognizing her outstanding achievements and contributions to the university community. 

Throughout her college career, Bischof has pursued dual disciplines, excelling in both finance and chemical engineering within the WVU Statler College. Hailing from the northern panhandle of the state, Bischof chose WVU for its exceptional faculty and staff, who have nurtured her growth, provided countless opportunities, and fostered a sense of belonging. As she reflects on her journey, Bischof's passion for innovation and commitment to success shines through every aspect of her college experience.

From running a successful yard sale business in middle school to becoming the president of the WVU Entrepreneurship Club, Chettleburgh's passion for entrepreneurship has been a driving force throughout his academic journey.

Meet CJ Pedone

Meet CJ Pedone, a native of New York, who is on the cusp of receiving his MBA from West Virginia University. Pedone's journey to academic excellence began with a bachelor's degree in food science from Penn State University. Recognizing the importance of developing both his soft and hard skills, Pedone chose to pursue his MBA at WVU, setting the stage for a successful career. 

With an upcoming move to Wilmington, North Carolina, Pedone is excited to join PepsiCo and apply his refined managerial skills and business acumen in a dynamic professional environment.

Meet Carl Behm

Sometimes it only takes a single event to ignite a lifelong passion. For Carl Behm, a marketing senior hailing from Maryland, attending a WVU vs. Pitt basketball game was the catalyst that led him to fall head over heels for the pride and spirit of West Virginia University. Since that fateful game, Behm has embraced every opportunity the university has to offer, immersing himself in the learning environment, taking on leadership roles, and building a network that has propelled his career in marketing. 

As he graduates with a marketing degree and embark on a promising internship, Behm’s WVU experience exemplifies the transformative power of education, networking, and unwavering dedication.

Meet McKenna Gray

Meet McKenna Gray, a driven individual from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who has chosen to continue her academic journey at the Chambers College after grduating with a degree in marketing. Gray is enrolling in the Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) program, eager to apply the valuable skills she has acquired at West Virginia University and embark on her path as a successful businesswoman. 

With enthusiasm for her impending independence and professional growth, Gray is poised to make a positive impact in the business world.
