On Thursday, April 10, the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University honored ten alumni whose contributions and dedication to their respective fields have established them as business leaders.
This is the 14th annual alumni awards ceremony for the Chambers College. The Roll of Distinguished Alumni was launched in 2011 to honor the College’s 60th anniversary. The ceremony was expanded in 2023 to include a category to recognize early career inductees.
Additionally, the 2025 ceremony honored the inaugural Corporate Partner of the Year, Nemacolin Resort.
Roll of Distinguished Alumni
These inductees will join 52 other Chambers College alumni as part of the Roll of Distinguished Alumni. All inductees are Chambers College alumni who graduated at least 10 years ago and have experienced success in their careers and demonstrated positive impact in their communities.
The 2025 class of the Roll of Distinguished Alumni included:
Bob Dean – president of Leisure Labs
Scott Deloretta – executive director of human resources for integrated manufacturing at GE Aerospace
Chad Leonard – chief business officer and head of market development at SAP
Dan Slipkovich – senior healthcare executive
Also in attendance was 2024 inductee John Reale, senior vice president and general manager of Pepsi Beverages North Division leadership team, who was unable to attend the 2024 induction ceremony.
Early Career Achievement Award
Five recent alumni who have shown exceptional promise and high achievement in their professions were honored as part of the third class of Early Career Achievement awardees. They included:
Brennan Comfort – senior vice president, chief data & analytics officer at WesBanco Bank
Eric Mason – chief financial officer for Quincy, Massachusetts
Tina Reddy – director of JPMorgan's Entertainment Industries Group
Alex Whitelam – vice president, investor relations at Dorman Products
Aaron Winderbaum – vice president, fixed income trader and portfolio manager, BNY Mellon/Dreyfus
Corporate Partner of the Year
The 2025 Chambers College Honors Induction Ceremony introduced a new award, given to corporate sponsors who have demonstrated outstanding partnership and commitment to student development.
The inaugural Corporate Partner of the Year award was presented to Nemacolin, a luxury resort located in Farmington, Pennsylvania with a history of supporting WVU students. In 2023, Nemacolin and its owners, the Hardy family, made a $7 million gift to support student opportunities in the Chambers College’s Hardy Family Hospitality and Tourism Management program.
“It is our responsibility to honor the Chambers College’s very best and brightest, and in doing so, show our students who they can become,” said Josh Hall, Milan Puskar Dean of the Chambers College. “Knowing that all of us – our honorees and those who have come to celebrate them – are united in purpose and service makes me incredibly proud of our work here.”
